Base Plate Kit for a 2016 Chevy Colorado With or Without Adaptive Cruise Control

Question:

Data from you site indicates 2 different configurations for 2016 Chev Colorado 4 WD tow plate: 1 with adaptive cruse control and 2 without adaptive cruse control. No reference or mention in manual for either cruse control. Is this likely to be a problem, and what are the differences relative to the tow plate? Only thing holding up my purchase. Thanks.

The Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1721 is actually confirmed to fit your Colorado whether it has adaptive cruise control or not. If you look at the part number for the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit it is the same for either style.

The reason that it seems to give you 2 different options for the style of your 2016 Chevrolet Colorado has to do with how our fitguide is setup. Some other products fit are determined by that feature, but not these base plate kits.

Aside from a base plate kit you also need a tow bar, safety cables, wiring, and a brake system to complete your flat towing setup. I have the following recommendations:

Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar and Safety Cables - # BX7380

Quick Battery Disconnect # RM-766 (since you have to disconnect your battery)
Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Braking System - # RM-9400
