Recommendation For Carrying Beach Bike On 2013 Toyota Camry

Question:

I am interested in purchasing this rack for a 2013 Toyota Camry. I have a womans beach bike. Is this the best model for me? I am not mechanical, AT ALL, so I need something that will be easy to install, remove, etc. Please let me know what your thoughts are concerning this project. Thank You.

Typically, a beach bike will weigh more than the trunk mount bike racks we offer can handle. The trunk mount racks like the # HRE3 are limited to 35-lbs per bike.

For an easier option I recommend installing a trailer hitch and using a platform bike rack to carry your beach bike. Platform racks are easier to load and unload.

The trailer hitch I recommend for your 2013 Camry is part # 36540. This is a Class ll trailer hitch and it has a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening.

The bike rack I recommend is the Hollywood Rack Trail Rider, part # HR200Z. This rack has a capacity of 45-lbs per bike.
