Recommended Breakaway Battery Kit To Replace Missing Battery And Pin
Question:
I let my friend use my trailer and returned it with no battery and no breakaway pin. Are these parts universal?

The batteries of a breakaway kit are fairly universal. They are all 12V and have the quick connect pins. The only differences are really the shape of the battery. The breakaway pins can have different shapes and styles.
I recommend you get a complete kit with the new battery and new breakaway switch so you know everything will work together properly. The engager has a different look now with a charger and tester integrated. I recommend the Hopkins Engager Trailer BreakAway Kit with Charger and Tester # 20099. Replacing the battery and pin will be possible, but close to the cost of a new system, so I recommend the upgraded system with the tester and charger integrated.
