Wiring Functions for the Upgraded Heavy Duty ModuLite Circuit Wiring Harness # 119250KIT

Question:

Good morning, Please explain wiring for above KIT to me. I readily see that the yellow wire and the green wire go to the vehicle turn signal wires. The red wire then connects to the wire that is used for brake/tail lighting? Also, what does the brown wire do...get insulated/not used, or grounded along with the white wire. Thank you so much!!

Here is a breakdown of how the wires will install on your 2010 Volkswagen GTI:

Red - brake light
Brown - tail light
Yellow - left turn signal
Green - right turn signal
Black - battery
White - ground

On a 2 wire system the red wire needs to be grounded.
