Recommended Brake Controller And Wiring For 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe With 4-Way Trailer Connector
Question:
I have a 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe on which I have installed the CURT Custom Wiring Connector #56152 or the item like it that was available in 2011. It plugs into the existing vehicle wiring with the controller tucked up and strapped out of sight. What brake controller and related items do I need to add a 7 blade RV type plug to my vehicle? Thank You!

We have just what you need to add a brake controller and wiring on your 2011 Santa Fe.
First you will need part # ETBC7. This plugs into your 4-way trailer connector and after completing the additional wiring will give you a working 4-way and 7-way connector on the back of your Santa Fe.
The brake controller I recommend is the Prodigy P3, part # 90195. This is one of our most popular because it is easy to install and operate.
I have attached a link to an installation video for a brake controller and the # ETBC7 on a Santa Fe you may want to take a look at. I also attached a drawing that shows how the wiring is run for a brake controller and the # ETBC7.
When working with electrical connectors I recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755. This keeps dirt and moisture out of the electrical connections and helps prevent corrosion.
