Does Battery For Popup Camper Need To Be Grounded To Trailer
Question:
I want to know if I have to ground the battery to the frame. There is something grounded near the rear of my trailer but it is either the 120v system or the running lights. I have just the four wire trailer lights and I do not need the power from my truck is it okay to have that not hooked up i was going to use a solar trickle charger while towing. when I have 120v I will be charging with a schumacher 8a battery charger

If you are using a 12V battery on your popup camper you will need to ground the battery to the trailer frame. Since you said you are charging the battery with a solar panel you will not need to attach the battery to the trailer connector.
I also recommend installing a battery box like part # DW03188. This battery box comes with the mounting hardware and a strap to secure the battery box to the trailer frame.
