Recommended 5th Wheel Rail Kit For 2003 Ford F-250

Question:

I have a 2003 longbed Ford F250. The precise owner had 10 bolt rails installed, but now theres nothing. My rails are husky 4 bolt rails. They sit right on top of the bed frame/cross members. If I drill through these, is it OK? Will it compromise my bed hanging 5/8inch holes in them? Also, Ill need longer ones as the bolts I have now, arent long enough to go through the rails, the bed, the bed frame, and the brackets that connect to the truck frame. Do you sell extra long bolts for this application?

Expert Reply:

For your 2003 Ford F-250, I recommend installing 10 bolt rails and using custom brackets for your vehicle. You can use the Curt kit # C16443-204 or the Reese Kit # RP50082-58. The 4 bolt rail kits aren't custom fits and since you already have the holes in the bed, the work is mostly done for you. The custom brackets will fit into existing holes in your truck frame so there won't be any drilling required for you. These kits will come with all the hardware you need.
