To flat tow your 2004 Jeep Liberty, I recommend starting with the Roadmaster EZ5 Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-521423-5. To install these base plates I suggest using Loctite Threadlocker # LT37420.
For a tow bar, I recommend the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar - Motor Home Mount - 2" Hitch - 6,000 lbs # RM-520. I recommend using a hitch lock like # e98882 to secure your investment. You will also need safety cables like # RM-643.
For your vehicle wiring, I recommend the Hopkins Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # HM56203 which is a nice plug and play system that connects to your factory wiring behind your tail lights. There is no cutting or splicing required.
For your supplemental braking system, I recommend the Blue Ox Patriot Portable Braking System - Proportional # BLU37TR. This system is easy to install and remove for each use. It simply connects to your vehicle brake pedal and rests on the floor board against the seat. It just plugs into a 12V outlet for power and wirelessly connects to the remote in your motorhome.
The final thing you will need is a high-low adapter. This is specific to each application, so I've attached an article to assist as well as connected the page to all your options for convenience.
