Does Trailer Wiring for 1992 Ford Ranger have Turn Signal Converter Built In
Question:
Does my 92 ford ranger need a converter No brake lights on trailer

Helpful Expert Reply:
The trailer wiring harnesses we offer for your 1992 Ford Ranger like the Curt part # C55314 do not have converter boxes integrated into them. That means your vehicle has the stop and turn signals combined on the same circuit.
If your brake lights on the trailer aren't working, then that is most likely a ground problem. If you clean up the ground connections of the lights or the main ground of the trailer (from the 4-way to the trailer frame), the brake lights will start working again.
