I found a brake controller for your Honda Goldwing and tent trailer application. The Hayes Blackbird Brake Controller and Universal Wiring Adapter, # HA81789-HBC, are the controller and harness I recommend for your application.

The Hayes controller is a time-delayed controller that will allow set and adjust the power output to a preset intensity. You will use the Universal Wiring Harness to wire the controller to your bike and trailer. I have attached an article that will show the typical wiring between tow vehicle and trailer.

When trying to decide on a brake controller to fit a motorcycle, size and how to mount the controller are an important factor to consider. The Hayes controller is the smallest time-delayed controller we carry and can be mounted at any angle on you bike. It is because of the Hayes Blackbird's mounting versatility and compact size, I recommend this controller over the others we carry. You will find installation a lot easier with the Hayes controller then with others.

Also, it is recommend that you install a circuit breaker in line on custom installations. For a trailer with a 2-brake application, use # 9506P 20-Amp Circuit Breaker. This breaker will be installed on the black power wire that will connect to your motorcycle's battery.
