Will Using Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver RM-077-4 Reduce Tongue Weight Capacity of a Trailer Hitch
Question:
I see that on some of the dual hitch adapters there is this warming: Please Note: Using a hitch extender will reduce your hitchs overall capacity by 50 Does this 50 hitch capacity reduction apply to the RM-077-4 ? Thanks

Helpful Expert Reply:
Roadmaster dual hitch receiver # RM-077-4 would not reduce the tongue weight capacity of the hitch when used as intended (flat towing while carrying an accessory). The tongue weight applied by a towed vehicle is minimal anyway so it is unlikely that the hitch tongue weight capacity would be exceeded anyway even if the capacity was reduced.
