Will the Wiring Harness from the # RP30142 Reese Elite 5th Wheel Hitch
Question:
When ordering the RP30142 hitch for a GM product, is the order number the same. I am referring to the wiring harness that comes with the hitch. Is it specific to Ford, or is there a different one for the GM? I have a 2011 Chevy, 2500HD, standard bed with the diesel. I know that there is a specific under bed rail kit. Just interested in the electric harness. Thanks,

The wiring harness that comes with the Reese Elite Series Pre-Assembled 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Wiring Harness - 18,000 lbs, part RP30142, that you referenced will work on GM, Ford, Dodge, Toyota, and Nissan trucks. You will not need to designate the brand of your truck when ordering a # RP30142.
The wiring harness is Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck 90 Degree Wiring Harness with 7-Pole Connector, part # 50-97-410.
I checked with Reese and it will work on your 2011 Chevrolet 2500HD. I attached installation instructions for the # RP30142 below for you to check out also.
