The best sliding 5th wheel hitch for your 2011 Chevy Silverado 2500 with 6-1/2 foot bed is the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider - Single Jaw - Above Bed - 21,000 lbs # DM8550035. This hitch has 14 inches of travel front to back and automatically moves when making turns to give you adequate clearance. This hitch won't require you to get out of your truck to hit a lever and then slowly move forward or backwards to get the hitch to lock in position so you can turn or drive...it moves automatically. This hitch uses rack-and-pinion gears to create smooth, controlled motion. This is the best hitch we offer and it is made in the USA. For your bed, I recommend the industry standard rails, but with custom brackets found in a kit like # C16411-204.
