6 and 7-Way Trailer Connector Mount for a 2003 Subaru Forester Hitch
Question:
Will this connector fit the hitches for my 2003 Subaru Forester Curt 12038 or DrawTite 36311? In other words do these Hitches have 2-1/2 Square Cross Tubes? Thanks.

I went out into our warehouse and measured the cross tubes of both the Curt # 12038 and the Draw Tite # 36311 and found that they have cross tubes that measure 2-1/2 inches by 1-1/2 inches. I would recommend you use a 6 and 7-Way Trailer Connector Mounting Box for Round or Square Tube Hitches, part # 18159, on either the # 12038 or the # 36311. I believe that this mount would give you easier access for your trailer connector once installed. I have included links to installation instructions and videos for both of these hitches below.
