How To Determine What Replacement Bearings Are Needed For Trailer
Question:
I am looking for bearings and seals and I couldnt find a number on my inner bearing, but the inner diameter is about 1.5, and the outer bearing in a Timken L44640/ 610. Is that the same as your bearing 1779? Also, the seal I removed was stamped 3m Hadco 3080. Can you please let me know what bearings/seals I need to purchase to replace these?

The inner bearing you said you have sounds like it is part # 29749. This bearing has a 1.50 inner diameter and 2.563-inch outer diameter.
You will need a digital caliper like part # PTW80157 to make sure you get the right replacement parts. To make sure you get the right parts you can measure the spindle where the bearings ride and the inner diameter of the hub. I have attached a photo that shows where you need to measure.
For the outer bearing with the L44610 race you probably need part # L44643 or # L44649.
If the inner diameter of the bearing you have measures 1.00 inches then you need part # L44643. If the inner diameter is 1.06 inches, the # L44649 is what you need.
