Roof Rack to Fit on 2014 Tesla Model S to Use with a Thule Sonic XL Cargo Box

Question:

I have a 2014 Tesla Model S with the panoramic glass roof that has mounting points for a roof rack. Tesla sells a Whispbar rack for that Will it work with my existing Thule Sonic XL cargo box? If not, is there a roof rack that will work with both that I can get from you? Thanks for your help!

The Thule Sonic XL roof box will fit with most cross bars. To find out if it'll work with the Tesla roof rack you can check the size of the bars. The box fits bars that are no larger than 3-1/2 inches wide by 1-11/16 inches tall. It should have no problem fitting a Whispbar rack.

For a roof rack to fit your 2014 Tesla Model S you can go with a Thule WingBar Evo rack:

Or for a design of rack that is more similar to the Whispbar you're looking at there is the Rhino-Rack ROC25 # RR83QR.
