How Many Amps Does the C-800 Klauber Motor Draw
Question:
Can you tell me the current draw of this motor?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The C-800 motor # LC138445 can draw up to 20 amps when under load. It is designed to be protected on a circuit with a 20 amp circuit breaker. Unless there is a short or it is trying to lift more weight than it is rated for it probably wouldn't not get very close to that 20 amp maximum.
With no weight at all it will only draw a few amps. So, for example, if you are retracting the jack legs on the system this motor is used for it only has to pull up the weight of the legs so it would draw less amperage. The manufacturer does not provide an operating amperage range.
