Regarding the Yellow wire on the Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole Vehicle End Trailer Connector, # 30717, how and what you connect it depends on what function you need it to perform. For example if your trailer has reverse lights, or you have a coupler with an electric reverse lockout feature, you would connect the yellow wire to the reverse light wire behind one of the taillights.
If you need it to provide power to something on the trailer such as to maintain a battery, you should have it attached directly to the battery via a 40 amp circuit breaker, # PK54540. If you do not need it it does not need to be connected to anything. Just tape it up and stow it out of the way so it is ready when you do need it. I have included a link to a video showing a typical installation for reference.
