How to "Increase" Diameter of Spool on Worm Gear Winch DL10954

Question:

Is there an to increase the size of the spool diameter available ? And how much would this effect the ability to crank my load ? I would only be lifting 50 lbs max weight @ between 8-9 feet. high Therefore I do not need a spool with a long length of cable and want to minimize the cranking time when required when raising or lowering, hence enlarging diameter of the spool or changing the gear ratio could help solve this Im thinking. The frequency of raising or lowering is low, and I want to keep this as simple an as low cost as possible.

What you can do is use a longer cable on the worm gear winch part # DL10954 as that will basically give you a larger spool diameter as the cable will be wrapped several times around the spool.

For a 50 foot long cable we have the part # DL24104.
