Parts Needed to Add Disc Brakes to Tandem Axle Trailer and Later Convert to Electric Over Hydraulic
Question:
Hello, I have a 24.5foot Vi Drive Boat, tandem axle with single axle drum/surge brakes. Trying to budget boat upgrades/maintenance for this year. Considering installing your T4843300 single axle disc conversion this year and then adding discs to second axle with electric/hydraulic actuator next year. Is this a viable option? Thank you

Using the # T4843300 Titan kit in the mean time for one axle and then adding brakes to the second axle and converting to electric over hydraulic is certainly an option. And it may even be the best way for you to do it depending on your situation.
However, it may be a better option, and save you money in the long run to put disc brakes on both axles at one time. Buying the additional parts later to add the additional brakes will be more costly.
Once both axles have brakes all you need is to add an electric over hydraulic actuator, like the # HBA16, a breakaway kit like the Hopkins Engager # 20099, and a brake controller like the Prodigy P2 # 90885.
