Is a Cover Necessary to Protect Circuit Breakers Once Installed on a 2001 Toyota Land Cruiser
Question:
I recently purchased and installed the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller. I used the Brake Controller 7 and 4 Way Installation Kit - 10 Gauge ETBC7. Installation went well. Should the circuit breakers be covered? Is there a snap on cover available? Thank you

The circuit breakers do not need to be covered, as they should be mounted in an unobtrusive area under the hood of your 2001 Toyota Land Cruiser, typically on the back wall below the windshield, or inside the driver side fender, near the vehicle battery. No snap on cover is available.
If you choose, you could probably put some cap nuts on the exposed posts on the circuit breakers, but if there does seem to be some risk that the posts on the breakers would come into contact with anything, the best option would be to re-mount them in an area whey there will be clear of other wiring and objects under the hood.
I would recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755 on the posts when you make the connections, because this will help protect them from moisture and will prevent corrosion down the line.
You can view some general information on wiring a brake controller at the link provided, if needed for reference.
