Bypass Brake Controller in 2013 Ram 3500 Recommendation
Question:
Hello, I need to bypass the factory ram brake controller and install a new aftermarket unit. I dont care if my truck shows a warning light on the dash. the factory controller just doesnt work correctly and I am sick of it ! I would like to buy a plug and play type harness like the Tekonsha 3023-P my question is do I need to physically in-plug the factory controller ? and the plug the 3023-p into one of those plugs ? Please let me know soon so I can order the harness and controller from you. Thank you !

To install an aftermarket brake controller in a 2013 Ram 3500 will require a trip to the dealer to get some warning lights turned off. For more info on that you will need to check out the help article I attached.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle is applying and applies a proportionate amount to the trailer brakes.
The install harness you would need is part # 3023-P.
