Comparing The Thule Camber And The Swagman Trailhead
Question:
Looking for a 2 bike, hitch mount 1 1/4inch rack for a 2016 Rav4. Considering Thule Camber and Swagman Trailhead. Is the Thule worth the extra cost? Swagman gets lots of good reviews. Any difference in wobble at the hitch mount?

The Thule Camber 2 Bike Rack - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting # TH9058 is a great option. It has the anti-sway cradles that have the deeper grooves to allow for the cables on many bikes to not get pinched or damaged. It has spring loaded features to help with the tilting and pivoting so it is an easier to use system. I do recommend getting the hitch lock # THSTL2 with this rack as well as a cable lock like # TH538XT. If you have alternative style frames or step through frames, I recommend using a bike adapter bar like # 64005.
The Swagman Trailhead # S63360 is a nice rack that has the same basic functions, but uses pin and clip instead of spring loaded handles. The cradles don't account for cabling. It is a sturdy bike rack that will function very well. I recommend the bike adapter bar, and cable lock like # e98891, as well as the Locking Anti-Rattle, Threaded Hitch Pin for Swagman Hitch Racks # S64029.
This is an ease of use versus cost comparison because both are nice racks and you won't see much if any difference in the wobble at the hitch receiver.
