Tire Chain Recommendation for 265/70-18 Tires on a 2005 Nissan Frontier
Question:
Will this particular model fit my 2005 Nissan Titan with Michelin Radials, tire size P265/70 R18? Also, do I need a tensioner, etc for short trips? Thanks

Expert Reply:
The Glacier V-Bar Snow Tire Chains, # PWH2828SC, that you have referenced will fit the 265/70-18 tires on your 2005 Nissan Frontier. An adjuster or tensioner is not required. These chains have cam tensioners that pull the chains tight onto the tire.
We have numerous other chains available for your tire size. I have included a link to the available options for you to review. If a tensioner is recommended, it will appear as a Related Product on the right side of the product page. For example, chains # PW2028C has 2 recommendations for tensions; # PW100 and # PW99. I have also included a link to our tire chain FAQ for reference. I recommend consulting your vehicle owners manual to determine if chains can be used and if there are any restrictions or recommendations from the manufacturer.
