How To Determine What Bearings Are Needed For Boat Trailer
Question:
I am looking for some help on identification of some boat trailer bearings. The trailer has bearing buddies that measure 2.328. I think but cant confirm that the inner bearing is the same size. Is this enough info for you to determine what size bearings I need?

Expert Reply:
The 2.328 measurement of your Bearing Buddies is not really enough to go by when you want the bearings and other hub components.
The best way to make sure you get the right components is to pull the hub and get the bearings numbers from the side of the bearings as shown in the attached photo. If you cannot find the numbers on the bearings, I recommend using a digital caliper like part # PTW80157 and measure the axle spindle where the bearings ride and then measure the inside dimension of the hub.
After you have gotten the measurements let me know and I will be glad to make some recommendations that will work for you.
