Can a Curt X5 Adapter be Used in a B&W Gooseneck Hitch in a 2016 Ram 3500 Short Bed
Question:
Looking at putting the BandW 1314 in my ram. I want to use the Curt x5 with this set up. Will it work together?

The X5 adapter # 16310 is not compatible with the B&W gooseneck hitches for the 2016 Ram 3500. The issue is that it does not drop down far enough into the gooseneck ball hole for the pin to go through the hole in the shank of the X5 adapter. We made Curt aware of this and expect that they will resolve it at some point but have not heard anything yet.
What I recommend is to install the gooseneck hitch, # BWGNRK1314, and then use the Companion slider # BWRVK3400-5W. I checked with B&W and they do not have any restrictions for this set up.
