Recommended Weight Distribution System with 4-Point Sway Control
Question:
Looking at an equalizer hitch, I have a 33.5 foot travel trailer, 6500lbs with a 650lb tongue weight. What do you recommend? I would like 4 point sway control

To determine which weight distribution system is appropriate for your trailer you'll need the loaded and ready to tow tongue weight of the trailer. Then you'll need to add in any weight you have stored behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle. You'll want the total tongue weight to fall somewhere in the middle of what the system is rated for. Once you have the tongue weight you can choose the correct system.
If your loaded trailer's tongue weight is 650 pounds then I suggest the Blue Ox SwayPro # BXW0750 which is rated for 550 to 750 pounds tongue weight. The SwayPro uses lift brackets and chains to prevent the spring bars from moving to prevent sway.
If the 650 pounds you mentioned is the dry tongue weight and you need a higher rated system I recommend the Reese Steadi-Flex either # RP66559 for 500 to 1,000 pounds or # RP66560 rated for 600 to 1,200 pounds. The Steadi-Flex uses automotive style friction pads (Like brake pads) for sway control.
For either system you'll need a hitch ball with a 1-1/4 inch shank. For a 2 inch ball you can use # A-90 or for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.
