The tensioners I recommend are the Glacier Multi-Arm Rubber Adjusters, part # PW105.
If your tires are 15 to 18-inch tires these will work well with the Glacier Snow Tire Chains, part # PW1030. I like these because if one arm should fail, the balance of the arms on these tensioners stay secured to the chains.
