LED Light Bar Not Functioning Properly When Running Lights Are On
Question:
So I installed alpena led light bar to my 1987 Nissan hardbody pick up. It has 3m tape install and connects directly to trailer jack. On my old pickup I had to buy a converter for trailer lights as my turn signals are on separate bulbs. After installing lights bar everything works as it should. Other than this: with running lights on and either turn signal on the entire bar blinks. This only happens with running lights on. All other functions work as they should. I tried buying new converter box since the one that was on the truck is years old. I cleaned and inspected ground. I hard wired the led bar to converter box. Im not sure where else to go as I have checked all possibilities I can think of. Truck has heavy duty flasher in it from trailer use. Thanks

Since you have a clean ground and the converter box, it sounds like the amperage of your running lights is just too high for the LED light bar. You may want to try using a load resistor like the Diamond LED Light Bulb Load-Resistors - Qty 2 # DI34ZR to see if that allows everything to function properly.
