Can B&W Companion Hitch Head be Swapped to RAM B&W Companion Base System
Question:
I currently have a 14 Ram 2500 with a BandW Companion 18k slider with the rails. If I purchased a 17 Ram 3500 dually with the integrated puck system from Ram...What would I need to be able to utilize my current 5th wheel hitch?

What you could do is swap the head of your hitch to the base system part # BWRVB3600 which will fit directly to your 2017 Ram 3500.
This will essentially give you the # BWRVK3600 which is the complete hitch for your truck. One other thing to consider is what to do with your old setup.
If you remove the head it may be harder to sell second-hand. I'd imagine selling the hitch as a whole would pretty easy as it's such a popular model.
