Height of Curt Fifth Wheel Hitch C16521 When Used with Adapter in Bed of 2017 Chevy Silverado 3500

I purchased the hitch for my 2017 chevy 3500 with the puck system . The lowest setting for this is over 20 inches not 17 like you say .

I believe you are referring to the hitch height of the Curt Fifth Wheel Hitch part # C16521 that has a height range of 17-1/2 inches to 21-1/2 inches. Since your 2017 Chevy Silverado has the factory puck system you would have had to use the adapter part # C16023 as well which will add height to the hitch and would be why your hitch seems to be taller.

We have found that this adapter adds an additional 1-3/8 inches above what the standard fifth wheel rails will add.
