Your trailer connector is overloading your wiring in your 2011 Kia Sedona. To protect your wiring, use a powered ModuLite that will protect your system from overload by drawing the power needed from the battery and not your electrical system. If you already have a powered converter, it sounds like it has gone bad and needs to be replaced.
I recommend you use the 2011 Kia Sedona T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118410. This will connect to your vehicle wiring behind your tail lights on each side with a simple clip connection. You will run a power wire from this unit to your battery and all the hardware you need is included. This will give you a clean connection for your trailer and your vehicle. I've attached a video of this installation for you.
I recommend using a little dielectric grease # 11755 to help with clean connections. You may also want a mounting bracket like # 18144 for your plug.
