Adjustable Trailer Hitch for Installation on Frame of Motorhome

Question:

Id like to know the bolt spacing on the frame for the side plates of Draw-Tite 41947. I want to install this on a motorhome chassis that currently has a class III hitch and want to see where the bolt holes wil be compared to the OEM spacing.

The linked instructions for the custom-fit Draw-Tite Ultra-Frame Class V hitch # 41947 show specific height dimensions from the bottom of the vehicle frame down to the top of the hitch receiver tube. The adjustable side brackets can place the receiver either 6-5/8-, 8-1/4- or 10-1/4-inches below the bottom of the frame rail when this hitch is installed on one of the intended vehicles.

A better option in your application on an RV is to use one of our adjustable-fit frame-mounted RV hitches, all shown on the linked page. All have a 2-inch receiver tube and carry weight capacities up to 600-lbs tongue weight and 6000-lbs gross towing. Just measure your RV's frame width to find the bet fit.
