How to Determine if Disc Brakes Can be Used on a 7,000 Pound Lippert Trailer Axle
Question:
How do I determine the size of the spindles on my trailer ? The books sent with this 2014 Kauffman says Lippert components Trailer axel. 8 hole with 16inch wheels. they are drums and I want to convert to hydraulic, using kodiac # K2HR712 if possible 6, and HydraStar actuator #HBA16. Ill need 6 rubber lines to connect to main steel line to actuator. I will also need the seals and bearings for all six hubs... Thanks for all the help in advance

The easiest way to determine which disc brake kit will fit your axle is to pull off a hub and drum assembly, get the bearings out, and check the bearing numbers stamped into the sides of the bearings. If the inner bearing is 25580 and the outer is 14125A then you can use kit # K2HR712.
The bearings and seals for this kit are sold separately but the races are already pressed into the rotor assemblies. We have a bearing kit with those bearings and the same seal that is required, # BK3-200. One kit will be needed per hub.
If you have different bearing numbers let me know what they are and I can see if there is a kit that will work.
