Will Using the Reese 5th Wheel Adapter Raise the Height of the 5th Wheel Hitch
Question:
Just not sure about the height of this hitch. It indicates 14inch to 18. Does this include the top rails with the measurement as I read the top rails add 2. So is it actually 16inch to 20Inch with this setup?

You are correct, if you use the Reese 5th Wheel Adapter, # RP30154, with the M5 Series 20K 5th Wheel Hitch, # RP30928, you will raise the hitch height 2 inches.
We do offer a few 5th wheel hitch models that do not need the use of the Reese adapter.
Curt has the Q20 Hitch set up for the Ram Tow Prep Package, # C16530-16021. The Q24 has a 20K weight capacity and will fit the factory-installed tow prep package on you 2014 Ram 3500.
B&W has the Companion 5th Wheel Hitch, # BWRVK3600. The B&W hitch has a 25k weight capacity rating and an adjustable hitch height between 17-19 inches. The B&W hitch is American made and has the 1 inch thick dual jaws that provides 360-degree coverage of the trailer's king pin. The dual jaw system will help decrease or eliminate 5th wheel chucking.
However, the B&W hitch is less cost efficient than the Curt Q20.
I have linked a review video for the Curt Q20 and an installation video on the B&W hitch for you to review.
