Chain Recommendation for 2017 GMC Sierra 4x4 with Tire Size 275/55/20

Do I need 4 chains for all my tires on a 4x4?

For maximum traction for accelerating, braking and turning you will get the best results with chains on all 4 tires. That being said if only one set can be used you want to install them on the main drive axle. Which in the case of your 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 would be the rear axle.
The part # PW2028C is a confirmed fit, but for a better option I would go with the part # TC2327. The price is still good, but the traction will be much better, the chains will last quite a bit longer, and install will be easier.
