Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver With Drawbar And Wiring For 2016 Ford Fusion Hybrid
Question:
Does it matter if the 2016 Ford Fusion is a Hybrid Electric version? As far as were the mounts are. I ask because the site does not separate the models. The Hybrid does have a battery bank int he trunk and I did not know if the changed anything below for bolt on installation. Thanks

The 2016 Ford Fusion Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch Receiver with Drawbar Class I - 1-1/4", # 24897 is a confirmed fit for all models of Ford Fusion. How it attaches to the frame does not vary from model to model. This Hidden Hitch trailer hitch receiver comes with the drawbar, pin, and clip for towing. If you are interested in a locking pin , I recommend # e98879.
I recommend getting a hitch ball like # 19260 for a 1-7/8 inch option or # 19258 for a 2 inch option.
For your vehicle's trailer wiring connection, I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118574. This harness connects to your factory wiring with quick clips you find behind your vehicle tail lights. The powered ModuLite connects directly to the battery to avoid overloading your vehicle's electrical system. This will give you a 4-way flat trailer connector.
I've attached a few videos for you of these products and their installation when possible. If you'd like recommendations for any hitch accessories, let me know and I'd be happy to help.
