To choose the correct weight distribution system for your Airstream trailer you need to determine the total tongue weight of your loaded and ready to trailer added to the amount of weight you have stored behind the rear axle of your 2014 GMC Sierra. The best way to find your trailer's tongue weight is to load it in the same fashion as if you're going to be traveling and weight it with a tongue weight scale # e99044. Then add that weight to however much you have in the truck behind its rear axle.
Once you have this figure use it to choose a system rated for that amount of tongue weight. I like the Reese Steadi-Flex systems. The Steadi-Flex uses friction pads similar to automotive brake pads for its sway control. The installation is easy since the brackets clamp to your trailer's frame and the spring bars are put in place using a lift handle.
Depending what your total tongue weight ends up coming to you can use either the 1,400 pound system # RP66561, the 1,200 pound # RP66560, or the 1,000 pound # RP66559,
The Steadi-Flex does not include a hitch ball so you can use # 19286 for a 2-5/16 inch ball or # A-90 for a 2 inch.
