Installation of the Hopkins backup sensor, # HM60100VA, is pretty straight forward. The main unit fits in the same place as the rear license plate. From there, you will need access to the trunk to make the wiring connections to the reverse lights on the vehicle.

How you get into the trunk area is up to you. On your vehicle, you may be able to access the trunk by routing the wire up and going through where the license plate lights are. Another option is to go down and have the wire go through the gap between the trunk lid and rear bumper. The weather stripping on the vehicle will protect the wire as long as you stay away from any latching mechanism.

From there you just have to access the wiring to the tail lights to tap into a reverse light wire. Then, to route the sensor inside the vehicle, you can go through the back of the trunk. If the rear seats can fold down, you can route the wire and sensor easily. Otherwise, you may be able to loosen a rear speaker to route the wire and sensor through and then tighten the speaker back up.
