Hello Do I have to modify the bumper, for get the hitch to fit the car CURT CLASS 1 TRAILER HITCH 11457

In researching the installation instructions for the Crut Class I Trailer Hitch, # C11457, you will need to trim a 4-1/2 inch long and a 2-1/4 inch wide slot on the under side of your 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV's bumper fascia.
The exact instructions from Curt are as followed:
"Mark out a 2.25" x 4.5" section using masking tape. Trim lower fascia using aviation shears.
NOTE: All dimensions are approximate, confirm fit prior to installation."
I attached a picture of the trim diagram that is included in the Curt Hitch installation instructions.
