Recommended 5th Wheel Rail Kit For 2017 Chevy 3500 To Use Standard 5th Wheel Hitch
Question:
2017 Chevy 3500 What rail installation kit to use with the Reese 30928 hitch

Expert Reply:
I reached out to my contact at Reese and confirmed that if you want to use above bed rails, the Reese Quick-Install Custom Base Rails and Outboard Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP56001-53 will be a custom fit for your vehicle. This will give you the above bed rails to fit the Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Single Jaw - 20,000 lbs, # RP30928 you referenced.
If you have the factory puck system, I recommend the Reese Elite Series Underbed Rail Adapter for Standard 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches - 20,000 lbs, # RP30156 to give you the rails for that hitch or if you wanted to not have to use an adapter you could use the # RP30890.
