Ultra-Fab Electric A-Frame Jack Wont Extend But Retracts
Question:
I have this Ultra Fab product - 38-944017 that just recently has stop extending the stand, but it does retract, so the motor runs fine. What do you suggest that I do to fix this and can a fairly novice person repair this?

It sounds like the issue is in the switch or the wiring of your Ultra-Fab Electric A-Frame Jack - 18" Lift - 3,500 lbs # UF38-944017. Since it retracts, we know the motor is working in one direction. These motors have a polarity so power on one wire runs the motor in one direction and power in on the other wire runs the motor in the other direction. I suggest removing the switch and connecting the wires manually to power individually. It it extends, the switch is bad. If not, the wiring or motor are bad.
If you need a new switch, the Replacement Toggle ON/OFF Motor Switch for Ultra Fab Powered Jacks, # UF38-75-1037, will work for you. I've attached a video of this for you.
