Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2014 Ford Escape that Allows Hands Free Liftgate to Function
Question:
Hello! I recently purchased a 2014 Ford 4wd 2.0L L4 DOHC 16V Eco boost engine Escape with an active foot lift-gate. Which trailer hitch would you suggest at the recommended 3500 max lbs. limit without loosing the lift-gate feature? If there isnt a hitch that does not offer this, then which one would you recommend? Ill look forward to your reply and tank you for your time!

The Draw Tite hitch part # 75758 is a fit for your 2014 Ford Escape and allows the hands-free liftgate to still function. You would just need to kick your foot to either side of the hitch tube.
This hitch also is a Class III hitch with more capacity than your vehicle is rated for as it has a 4,500 lb trailer weight capacity. You would be limited to the lowest rated component in your towing setup which would be the vehicle at 3,500 lbs.
I attached an install video for you to check out as well.
