Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch That Allows Use of Lowest Height Setting

Question:

I have a Reese Titan R16 5th wheel hitch on a round tube slider. I would like to adjust the deck height to the lowest of 4 settings but this design doesnt seem to allow this. Can you please investigate for I would like to place it in its lowest position to level my trailer better. Thoughts? Many thanks.

The hitch height limitation when using a sliding type hitch is common to almost all 5th wheels. The sliding mechanism blocks access to the lowest height setting. There is no fix for your Reese R16 slider to enable you to use the lowest height setting.

However, the Demco Hijacker Premier Series 16K Slider # DM6076P-UL-16K fits into industry-standard above-bed base rails and does allow you to use all of its height settings, 16-, 17-, 18- and 19-inches.
