Recommendation for an Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution and Sway Control With a 700 lbs Tongue Weight

Question:

Ive been looking at the Equilizer weight distribution hitch, EQ37100ET. This is for my first hardside travel trailer a KZ with a GVWR or 6000 and an anticipated tongue weight of about 700lbs. My truck is a 2005 GMC 2500HD. Is this model overkill for my anticipated usage? I like the four point sway control feature of this unit and that there are no chains. Thanks

The Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control, # EQ37100ET, would be the correct model weight distribution system needed is your loaded tongue weight will be about 700 lbs.

The system is rated up to 1,000 lbs, so there will be some room for you if you decided to carry cargo at the rear of your vehicle behind the rear wheels. Any cargo loaded behind the rear wheels will have to be figured in to your total tongue weight.

The Equal-i-zer system includes a 2-5/16 inch ball. If a 2 inch ball is needed for your application, I recommend the 2 Inch Hitch Ball for Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Systems, # EQ91-00-6080.

I have linked a couple videos on this Equal-i-zer WD hitch for you to review.
