Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendation for 2017 Ram 3500 Short Bed with Factory Rail Kit

Question:

Do you know who makes the Dodge MOPAR 5th wheel hitch for 2017 Ram 3500? I located a picture and it looks like a Reese. What Reese hitches do you have that will fit the same vehicle with the factory Fifth Wheel/Gooseneck prep or Mopar® Fifth Wheel Prep? Thanks

The rail kits for the 2017 Ram 3500 resemble a very spread out version of the Reese Elite fifth wheel underbed rail kits. We have adapters that allow standard fifth wheel hitches to fit the rail kits but nothing that fits directly.

Since your truck is a short bed you will have to use a slider hitch to allow you to make tight turns. Since activating a slider everytime you get to a parking lot is a bit of a hassle I like to recommend the auto sliding Demco Hijacker part # DM8550035. This automatically slides back as you make tight turns which means you have one less thing to worry about.

For a rail kit adapter you would want the part # DM6099.
