Question:
Can I put this on my 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 w/factory tow package has both 4and7 wire plugin? I have it on now but have yet to see if it works with a trailer because some sites say it does not work on a 2008.Please help.

The Hidden Hitch Pilot Brake Controller will work just fine with your 2008 Ram. You will need the wiring adapter, part # 3020-P if the OEM pigtail did not come with the truck. You'll need to cut the black plug off the adapter harness, and wire it color for color to the wires exiting the rear of the brake controller.
The wiring adapter will plug into the connector located behind the emergency brake pedal. Behind the pedal, you will see a small white box on the firewall. The connector should be located just above this box. If you use part # 20261, the adapter will wire to the brake controller color for color. If you use the factory pigtail, the red wire with the black tracer connects to the black wire on the controller, the white wire with the tan tracer connects to the red controller wire, the black wire on the pigtail connects to the white wire on the controller and the blue wire on the pigtail connects to the blue controller wire.
We have a brake controller install video that features a 2009 Ram. The install on your vehicle will be similar, except for a different brake controller and wiring adapter. To see the video, click on the provided link.
