Will Reese Slider Hitch # RP30051 Fit Base Rails From Reese Fixed Hitch On A 2002 Chevrolet 2500HD

Question:

I currently have a Reese 5th wheel hitch in my 2002 HD 2500 series 6 1/2 Bed. Can I use the same rails in the truck with the RP30051 Slider hitch ?

The Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with Square Tube Slider, part # RP30051, will fit in Reese, Hidden-Hitch, Draw-Tite, Curt, and Valley base rails. If you have one of those brands of base rails installed in your 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD 6-1/2 foot bed, you will be able to use the Reese slider hitch in your vehicle.

You can also check by measuring the base rails on your vehicle now.The dimensions for the Reese Universal Base Rails, part # RP58058, that the Reese hitch fits into are as follows: The width between the rails, center to center, when mounted in the truck should be 21.94 inches. The distance between the outer most holes on one rail (where the pins lock the hitch to the rail) are 29 inches on center. The next mounting holes towards the center are 20-1/2 inches apart on center. And the closest holes are 10 inches apart on center. If these dimensions match what you have on your vehicle the Reese slider hitch will fit your rails on your vehicle.
