How to Use a Curt E16 Slider with Under Bed Mount on a 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500
Question:
I have a 2016 Silverado 2500HD standard bed without factory prep kit that I am looking for an under bed solution for mounting my Curt R16 and E16 slider hitch. Does curt sell the under bed system for the C16023 to put in the factory setup? Or is there another vendor? I have looked at the Reese and pullrite system as well as a gooseneck with X5 adapter. Thanks

There is a way that you can mount your Curt slider 5th wheel hitches to an under bed mount on your 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500.
First you would need to install B&W gooseneck hitch # BWGNRK1016-5W. I know what you're thinking. "He's crazy; why would I need a gooseneck hitch." But if you install it you could then use the X5 adapter # 16310. Then you could mount your hitches to the adapter.
Or, as an alternative that will cost a little less, you can install Curt gooseneck hitch # C607-604 and use a different X5 adapter, # C16210. Right now these are the only ways to have an under bed mount and use your existing Curt hitch.
