Compatibility of a Kuat Sherpa 2.0 and a Curt Round Tube Hitch on a 2012 Volkswagen GTI

Question:

I am interested in purchasing the Curt C11000 for my 2012 VW GTI. Will the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 be compatible with this hitch? Concerning the folded position and insertion depth into the hitch? Becasue this hitch sits under the car, I want to be sure that there is clearance with the bumper with the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 installed and folded up. The description for the Sherpa 2.0 indicates there is 9 inchs from hitch pin hole center to the closest point of contact when folded. Will there be enough room with the 24904 hitch to fold up the Sherpa 2.0 bike rack and not hit the bumper? I was unable to locate a measurement for the Drawtite 24904 from the hitch pin hole to the rear of the bumper.

Using the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 Bike Rack for the 1-1/4 inch hitch, # SH12G, with the Curt trailer Hitch, # C11000 will be no problem on your 2012 Volkswagen GTI.
